Decanter World Wine Awards 2025
#DWWA25
Two of our cuvées. Two Silver Medals. Our Brut Nature and our Blanc de Blancs Nature.
Celebrated at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2025 — a proud nod to our philosophy: no sugar, just time, terroir, and precision.
The most influential wine awards in the world
The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), founded in 2004 by the UK’s leading wine magazine Decanter, is today considered the largest and most influential wine competition worldwide. Every year, more than 18,000 wines are blind-tasted by over 250 international experts — Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, winemakers, critics, and buyers. A medal from Decanter isn’t just recognition, it’s a global benchmark for quality.
In 2025, the Champagne category was particularly competitive, with over 2,000 cuvées submitted. Out of this impressive number, only 568 Champagnes were retained and rated by the jury — proof of the high standards and selectivity of the awards.
Standing out among the great names
What makes us especially proud at DUCOEUR is not only winning medals, but winning them in such remarkable company.
Among the Champagnes entered this year were some of the most prestigious houses: Baron de Rothschild, Palmer, Moët & Chandon, Pommery, Esterlin, Mandois, and many more. Competing alongside such established names is already an honor. Being recognized with Silver Medals shows that our young brand has a voice that resonates.
The challenge of Brut Nature
Of all the Champagnes submitted, only 42 were Brut Nature cuvées — wines with no added sugar after disgorgement. Brut Nature is the most honest and demanding style of Champagne: nothing is masked, nothing is adjusted, the wine stands on its own.
In this strict category, DUCOEUR won two Silver Medals, one for our Brut Nature and one for our Blanc de Blancs Nature. To put this in perspective: even Moët & Chandon, with their Collection Impériale Création 1 – Brut Nature, received only a Bronze medal this year.
No Gold Medals were awarded in the Nature category at all — which underlines the difficulty and rarity of excelling in this style. For us, being counted among the 24 best Brut Nature Champagnes of 2025 is a confirmation of our philosophy: let nature speak, and trust time and terroir to deliver balance and elegance.
Recognition of a young house with a clear vision
DUCOEUR is still at the beginning of its journey. Officially launched in 2024, our brand was created with a vision of Champagne 2.0: modern, authentic, and aligned with today’s values of wellness and conscious enjoyment. We craft only Brut Nature Champagnes, matured for three years in bottle before release, with no sugar, no additives, and no industrial shortcuts.
Winning two Silver Medals at DWWA25, in such a competitive environment, is more than just an award. It’s proof that our approach — radical in its simplicity — can stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s most established Champagne houses.
These medals give us confidence, but also a responsibility: to continue refining our work, to stay true to our philosophy, and to keep delivering Champagnes that are pure, natural, and elegant.
For our partners, sommeliers, and Champagne lovers, this recognition is also a reassurance: choosing DUCOEUR means choosing a house that has already been validated by some of the most demanding palates in the world. 💚
